WOYWW-Hazmat Suits Required

Today is WOYWW #167 and I come to you filled with hatred and snot.  But mostly snot. And my desk comes to you filled with an assload of everything! And it's no small ass either, we're talking the Hottentot behind here....
What you see here are a couple of card kits, Halloween and other paper pads, my new Taylored Expressions stamps, the lady bug dew drop inks I inquired about last week, and the same old stuff that is always there.  Best of all this pile contains my new A Muse Studio goodies! I'm so excited to have the stuff from the new catalog to play with so expect to see that in action soon.  Well, as soon as I can quit blowing my nose long enough to play.
And what the heck, here is a wide view of the whole sordid mess. It is really quite a disaster area. You can see all three cats, washing up after their breakfast, and the hubby who isn't washing and who didn't get breakfast. Hubby was trying to convince me that the flash would flash (and it did) for this photo taken with the lights off.
I had some ATCs and a card to show you but there are lost somewhere in the rubble. I didn't have time to tie a rope around myself and go spelunking in there to find them--as you can see by the clock in the one photo it is time to hit the road for work!  Instead I'll show off a card I received from a friend.

The Fine Print: The hubby is breakfastless because he didn't want any of the cat food he was offered.  That, and he doesn't eat breakfast on weekdays. It isn't that I'm mean, even though I'm filled with hatred and snot, and hatred AT snot. What if I'm allergic to paper?  Have you thought of that? I  have... Don't go there, it's too awful.

Heh heh, that's what you get for tidying it last week, double the mess! Hubby looks a little shocked by something? Or perhaps he's just hungry! Oh! You might not want to turn that fire on either!!

Thank goodness, the desk looks normal again, the crazy lady has been put away. Sorry about the snot, you could always double it up as adhesive. Maybe it is an allergy to cat breakfasts, or non-breakfast-eating-husbands. Or maybe it's just a cruddy summer cold. Whichever, feel better soon. Hugs Sxx

I think your space looks fine. I also agree with Janet that things always seem worse when you don't feel well. I know I am a real "witch" when I am ill. dani#33

You have a wonderful big room there but I am not surprised you have filled it, we have a small house but every room is full - must be like a crafters 'need' to have everything possible.......hope your horrible cold goes soon, don't like to think of your art getting snottied up, perish the thought. Do not even joke about being allergic to paper.

That really WOULD be awful, the stuff of nightmares!!!

I like the painting (poster?) above your mantelpiece...I need to see that in close up. Looks quite fantasy-esque to me. Take a look at the art of Paul Kidby who illustrates Terry Pratchett's novels - his version of Death is brilliant!

Eeew, hated and snot. My trick is to stuff a big bit of twisted tissue up my nose, leaving a trailer hanging out. When that drips you know it's full and time to put up another one. It soaks up the excess and you have two hands free to keep going!! Sounds gross but it works.

Hope the snot dries up soon and it isn't a paper allergy. You could use a gas mask if it is :)

Beautiful card you received.
Have a great snot free week.

Well, hope you feel better soon and the snot clears up, that kind of stuff can really interfere with your crafting, although you can do some mixed media with it! lol, gross...but LOL-ing...waving hi from the sandy beaches of Florida ;0

I need a post it note reminding me to go pee before I hit your blog cause I get to giggling and almost wet myself each time. Assload of stuff is true. Hope you got it together when you got home. Do you like the new Halloween paper? I bought it but I am not so for sure!!! Like Vonny's comment above. Might try that next time I am a dripping. HMMM....wonder if that works on all things that drip? Hope you have a great week and get to feeling better. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #38

Hi there and thanks for stopping by. Have to say our heads have blown off with all the internet palava. Our house is not a happy place to be right now. In fact I have just taken off the past 2 days and wondering where to go today as I can't take anymore. Hope your cold gets better soon. BJ #46

I still can't believe that's your front door right there. Wish I could move all my stuff into the living room (which we rarely use anyway). Glad you liked the skiing sheep. Pretty cute, aren't they? Maybe they cheered you up, at least momentarily. Happy late WOYWW!

We all have an as....d of stuff but only some of us clean up and maybe all the cleaning has done your nose in. Good to see you have your priorities right i.e. cats have been fed and hubby at attention by the door. Hope nose dries (try drugs) as nose drip should not interfere with crafting.

Oooohhhh love your space and the cats seem to love it too. Now be careful and not light that fire as it might damage your paper and art supplies. Do try and get better, try sleeping and being slack after all men get away with it all the time. ssshhhh don't let on we know ok..

Happy crafting if you can

ROFLROFL Judy! Hilarious post as always! Love the kitties washing and your hubby not - was there any connection re the breakfa?st or lack of, I wonder?

When I saw the photo of the whole room I did a double take and thought you'd pinched one of my photos of my room lol!! Mine has looked pretty much like this for ages. Not any more, though! I'm about to do a blog post about the transformation I brought about yesterday.

Thanks for your amusing comment - blog hopping at work? Norty, norty Judy. I've found other people's purging and tidying to be incredibly motivating, and quite a few on here seem to be doing it, so maybe something will rub off? Maybe?

In my case it's definitely eating the elephant one bite at a time. Got to keep up the momentum as I've got under 2 years to do the whole house!!!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Sorry about your snotty nose! But what a lovely card you were sent. :) I can't wait to see the projects you turn out with your new A Muse stuff. Once your nose stops running, of course! Hey, I know having a dash of salt helps a stopped up nose, I wonder if it will help with a runny nose, too? Hmm. Anyways, hope your allergy/cold clears up soon! :)
And thanks for the funny post. The laughs are appreciated! :)

Nice to see a wider view of your crafting haven. had to enlarge the photo for a good old snoop - and found the three cats! Thought that was hubby bending down to the bottom right and then discovered it was not his backside I saw but the arm of a chair. Doh!
Sorry about the snots - hope it has cleared by now.

Hope you have recovered from the sniffles by now. Your space is tidy compared to what mine looked like. I am proud to report that it took two whole days and then some more, but it is all sorted and looks like a nthing of beauty. My back and the muscles in my arms and legs might never recover though. LOL
That is why I am so very late visiting this week.
